Vedic Mathrix Camp 2026
Vedic Mathrix 2026 is the 17th annual 5-day immersive retreat for Mathematics as well as History lovers. It is a camp for inquisitive minds, young or old, who love to question and critically evaluate instead of accepting things on face value. Located amongst the lush green campus of Adi Sankara Nilayam, the participants get to experience a deep dive into the subject of mathematics in an interdisciplinary way through activities, interactive sessions, group discussions, debates and games. The serene nature of the campus makes learning effortless to people of all ages making it a unique opportunity to stay and study at the birth place of Adi Sankaracharya.
About the Camp
This residential camp will be conducted from 18 to 22 April 2026. The camp is primarily aimed at students of age 13 to 16 years. Older students, teachers, parents and adults are also welcome to attend. An introduction to algebra, good understanding of mathematics up to grade 8 is a pre-requisite for the camp. Generally the campers comprise 80-90% of school students and the others are adults/teachers.
Faculty
Sri Vinay Nair is the author of CIF’s Home Study Course on Vedic Mathematics and is also the co-founder of Raising A Mathematician Foundation and the founder of Vichar Vatika. Having an experience in K-12 education with a keen interest in history of Indian mathematics, Vinay Nair interacts with students and teachers with the perspective of making mathematics livelier and more palatable. He closely works with and guides students who are exceptionally bright in mathematics, and conducts programmes both online and offline for students across all ages. He has been involved in national level projects such as: Conceptualizing a Mathematics Museum for a project of the Principal Scientific Advisor’s office, Being part of NCERT’s committee on finding causes for Math phobia and more.

Campers are suggested to arrive on 17th April 2 to 5 pm. Camp inaugural will happen around 9:30 am on the 18th April. Camp ends on 22nd April by lunch.
Suggested age group: 13 years and above
Preferred knowledge: Knowledge of algebraic expressions
